SCHOOL PLAYS A CRITICAL ROLE IN SUPPORTING THE WHOLE CHILD !
Nutrition Services Requirements: Head Start Performance Standard: 1302.44 (a)
Our nutrition service provides a culturally and developmentally appropriate well-balance meal that meets the nutritional needs and accommodates the feeding requirements of EACH child including children with special dietary needs and children with disabilities.
What does this mean: Three Stages must be conscious of our student's demographic and ensure that the food that we are serving is culturally appropriate.
Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP): is a federal program that provides reimbursements for nutritious meals and snacks to eligible children and adults who are enrolled for care at participating childcare center. Three Stages participates in the CACFP.
NUT CONTROL POLICY:
Three Stages has a policy that bans all nuts, peanut butter, peanut oils and look-alike products. For the safety of all children, please read labels carefully, especially on cereal and granola bars to ensure Nut food items do not enter our school.
